What are Solar Renewable Energy Credits (SRECs)?
SRECs are a built-in perk of solar ownership that many new owners overlook. For every 1,000 kilowatt-hours your system produces, you earn one SREC. These credits can then be sold on the open market — extra passive income on top of your energy savings.
Can I make money selling solar energy?
In most cases, you won't make a check-in-the-mail profit from sending extra production to the grid. What you get instead is net metering — the utility credits the extra production back to your next bill so the surplus offsets what you pull from the grid later.

What warranties are included with a solar system?
Panels come with a performance warranty — typically 25 to 30 years — guaranteeing output stays above a specified percentage. Panel product warranties run 12 to 25 years. Inverters carry 12 to 25 year warranties depending on brand and type.
On top of those, our Triple Ten Guarantee covers production and workmanship for the first 10 years in writing.
How long do solar panels last?
Most panels are guaranteed for 25–30 years, but they keep producing past that window. The first 30 years is considered the system's "useful life" — the world's oldest modern solar panel is still cranking out electricity at age 60.
How much maintenance is required?
Very little. Absent a defective part, a bad install, or outside damage, PV systems just run. If something does go wrong, odds are it's under warranty — and the Triple Ten Guarantee covers production and workmanship for the first decade.
How much do solar panels cost?
There's no single answer without pulling your usage and looking at the site. Costs depend on how much electricity you use, where the array goes, whether it's roof, ground, or carport, shading, distance to the meter, and more.
As a rough cut: a $120/month electric bill generally calls for a 10 kW system — about $33,240 before incentives and $23,268 after. A $600/month bill generally calls for a 50 kW system — about $133,300 before incentives and $63,771 after.
